A historical photographer in a tuxedo and top hat photographs your guests with an antique-looking camera — a stand-alone entertainment act right in the middle of your event.
Knabberknips raises his camera and hunts for the shot — a smile, a wink, a perfect moment. One click, a touch of magic, and the picture appears: printed on edible paper, in Forest Berries, Tutti Frutti, Strawberry or Green Apple. Guests choose for themselves — then polish off their own portrait, with a smile that lingers longer than any photo on a wall.

Knabberknips at a Glance
Knabberknips is a walking act by Jim & John ShowActs from Berlin for corporate events: a photographer in a tuxedo with top hat or bowler hat moves freely among the guests with an antique-looking camera, takes their portraits and prints each one on edible paper on the spot. A few minutes after the click, guests hold their own picture, printed in the flavor of their choice — Forest Berries, Tutti Frutti, Strawberry or Green Apple — and eat it. The offer is aimed at companies, public bodies and associations looking for an entertainment program that happens in the middle of the event and opens conversations between guests. Exactly one photographer works each event: Jim, John or Stefan. The starting price is €1,500 net plus travel fee and VAT and includes 50 photos; packages with 200, 300 or 500 additional photos can be booked. Knabberknips performs in Berlin, across Germany and internationally. Quotes are available via the enquiry form on this page or by email to Knabberknips@jim-john.de.

Before You Book
The edible paper we use is vegan but contains wheat flour and is therefore not gluten-free. Depending on the flavor, starch, natural flavorings, the sweetener sucralose, and coloring foods or food colorings are also used (including beetroot juice concentrate, Brilliant Blue FCF, anthocyanins, curcumin). No titanium dioxide (E171). The edible printer ink is vegan and gluten-free but contains the colorings E102 and E110 — mandatory notice: may have an adverse effect on activity and attention in children. We're happy to provide the full ingredient and nutrition list for each chosen flavor before your event, on request.
The earlier, the better — popular dates fill up quickly, especially during peak season. But feel free to reach out on short notice too: we can often still make something work.
A standard power outlet and about 2 × 2 meters of space near the action are all that's needed as a base setup. For unusual on-site conditions, we're happy to discuss the setup together in advance. Beyond that, the photographer and his plate camera move freely: it rolls with him on wheels through the walkways of your venue, and he actively approaches individual guests, entertaining them with their freshly printed portraits.
Knabberknips travels from Berlin all around the world. The travel fee depends on distance and is shown transparently in the quote.
For outdoor events, we plan a covered backup option together — the camera and printer need a roof over them.
